Disclaimer
We believe the information contained herein to be correct at time of publication. While all possible care is taken in the compilation and presentation of this web site, no responsibility for loss, occasioned by any person acting or refraining from acting as a result of the material in this web site, can be accepted by the firm, the authors or the publishers.
Privacy Policy
This policy will help you understand how our site collects, uses and safeguards the personal information you provide to Wolferstans Solicitors.
What information do we collect?
When you visit our site, you may provide us with personal information that you actively choose to disclose by sending us one of our feedback forms. We also collect information anonymously in a way you cannot see, as you and others browse the site.
Feedback forms
Our feedback forms will ask you for contact details. Most of them are optional, but you will have to give your name and email address. We will only use this information to follow up your enquiry or comment, for research, or for sending you news about Wolferstans Solicitors.
Electronic newsletters
From time to time we may send you a free electronic newsletter when we think you might be particularly interested in something we are doing. We gather the email addresses of users who completed a feedback form or who voluntarily subscribe to the newsletter. You can remove yourself from this mailing list by following the link, in every newsletter, to the subscription management page.
Usage tracking
We track “user traffic patterns” throughout all our sites. However, we do not correlate this information with data about individual users. The site does break down overall usage statistics according to a user's domain name, browser type, and MIME type by reading this information from the browser string (information in every user's browser).
We sometimes track and catalogue the search terms that users enter in our Search function, but this tracking is never associated with individual users. We use tracking information to see which areas of our sites users like and don't like, based on traffic to those areas. We do not track what individual users read, but rather how well each page performs overall. This helps us continue to build a better service for you.
Cookies
We may place a text file called a “cookie” in the browser files of your computer. The cookie itself does not contain your personal information but it enables us to relate your use of the site to information you have specifically and knowingly provided. The only personal information in a cookie is what you have supplied yourself. Cookies can't read data off your hard disk or read cookie files created by other sites. We use cookies to track user traffic patterns (as described above).
You can refuse cookies by turning them off in your browser. If you've set your browser to warn you before accepting cookies, you’ll receive the warning message with each cookie. You don’t need to have cookies turned on to use the site, but you’ll need them to participate actively in message boards, forums, polls and surveys that we may publish as part of the site.
Sharing the information
We will not share information about individual users with any third party, except to comply with applicable law or valid legal process or to protect the personal safety of our users or the public.
By using this site, you consent to Wolferstans Solicitors’s collection and use of this information.
We reserve the right to revise this policy at our discretion. Please check back on the site as the policy may be revised from time to time without giving you notice.
Investment Services
The firm is not authorised under the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000 but we are able in certain circumstances to offer a limited range of investment services to clients because we are members of the Law Society. We can provide these investment services if they are an incidental part of the professional services we have been engaged to provide.
