Product Liabilty Claims
All drugs and medical products sold or prescribed within the UK and across Europe must comply with strict laws and regulations to protect the consumer. The aim is to help safeguard the consumer from products that do not reach a reasonable level of safety.
These laws aim to protect the consumer from defective products and to offer redress should anyone suffer an injury as a direct result of a defective product. This could range from medication prescribed by a GP or other health practitioner to a medical product such as a hip replacement or blood transfusion.
If you have, or think you may have suffered an injury as a direct result of a defective product (for example, adverse side effects from the consumption of a prescribed drug), you may be entitled to compensation/damages.
We have a specialist expert unit designated to Product Liability claims. Our team is headed up by Tim Roper and also comprises of Stephen Hanbury and Jane Kua. We have successfully pursued claims against manufacturers and suppliers of defective products on behalf of both individuals and large groups.
